Formation involves the human (which includes physical aspect, affective life), spiritual, community, academic and pastoral dimensions. All throughout the succeeding stages of formation these dimensions are observed.

Collegiate program is designed for high school graduates.

The General objective of the collegiate is to help collegians go through the normal development of an adolescent Christian towards maturity on all levels, in the context of perceived call from God to be a Redemptorist.

High school graduates who are accepted in St. Alphonsus Collegiate Formation House (SACFH) will take a four-year Philosophy course in Rogationist school, Cebu City together with other seminarians coming from different congregations.

For those who finished 3rd year college level from other schools and working, want to join the Redemptorist and are accepted, they will undergo the aspirancy program.

The general objective of the aspirancy program is to aid the candidates understand the nature of their vocation. In the context of community living they are helped to grow to a level of human and Christian maturity such that they can make a free personal response to the call to follow Christ in religious missionary life, particularly the Redemptorist.
